Dad, You are not educated!

Our son, Kushaal is turning 7 this december 7th. I have been keeping track of some quotes from him now. Here's a hilarious one.

The other day, I was going to work with Kushaal on his homework. Here's how the conversation occurred.

Kushaal : Dad, What's the answer to this question?
Dad : Son, It is blah...(some ral answer)
Kushaal : Yelling, Mom is this answer right?
Dad : Kushaal, That's right. Why are you asking mom again?
Kushaal : Dad, that's because you are not even educated!
Dad : lol, why do you think so?
Kushaal : Ofcourse, because you tell me that mom is a good teacher and she teaches me always. plus you are still going to school ( I am doing my MBA by the way). So I think you are not educated.
Dad : lol

Girl stuff Burito

The other day I was at Taco Bell's drive thru line waiting to order a Burrito. Kushaal sprang from the rear seat of my van and said, "Dad, can you order Girl's stuff Burrito for me please". I was wondering for a second, what the heck was a Girl stuff Burrito. I later on realized that it was a "Grilled Stuft Burrito". Now that's easy instead of the Girl stuff Burrito. :)

Can you see dead people?

Kushaal is 5 years old now. I started off this blog when he was three and only updated a few times since then... Alas he still has interesting questions...I am tempted to keep updating this blog with his interesting questions... Here's another one.

Kushaal was told that when people die they would go up and live with God. When we were driving home from school one day, he asked me, "Daddy, why don't I see dead people in the sky " ? I was confused and asked him why would he see dead people in the sky ? He then explained that he was told that dead people go and live with God in the sky but he couldn't see any... lol

What's in a name ?

We were expecting our second child and were in the process of finding a suitable name. We requested Kushaal who was then 4 1/2 years old to suggest a few names. He suggested "Jason", "Mathew" and a few others. We told him that these were Christian names and we wanted a Hindu name. When he asked "What is a Hindu name ? " ,  to keep it simple we told him that anyone who prays Lord Ganapathi is a Hindu. Names like "Aryan", "Manav" etc are Hindu names. So he quickly said, let's keep the baby's name Jason and make the baby pray Ganapathi and the name would become a hindu name. (lol)

Cars from God

My son , Kushaal is 4 years old now. He has a little cousin, Aryan who is 8 months old. I was teaching Kushaal not to kick Aryan and told him that children are like God. Immediately he said, "Because he is God, He must now give me a car!".

Why are some of the names so hard to remember?

I will be moving to Virginia soon, you know the usual bad economy taking a toll of software engineers in silicon valley. So I have been preparing my son for our move to Virginia. Poor fellow always gets confused with the name. This morning he was asking me, "Papa..., In march whenryu going to Janvania?" He intended to ask , Papa, In March when are you moving to Virginia? lol.....names can be real confusing....
